Career-Related Education
I have been involved in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), the largest and oldest student business organization in the world, on both a local and state level. I have also enriched my business skills through relevant educational courses.
Local Chapter Involvement
For the past four years I have driven my local chapter to record-breaking heights as we have grown over 50 percent in size and increased our involvement to the national level. Within my chapter, I have:
-
Served as the President (2012-2014)
-
Served as the Reporter (2011-2012)
-
Represented Greenwood FBLA as one of the few in Greenwood FBLA history to place at the Wisconsin State Leadership Conference in Future Business Leader (4th Place), Electronic Career Portfolio (2nd Place), Who's Who (4th Place) and Local Chapter Annual Business Report (1st Place)
-
Completed the Business Achievement Awards, nationally recognized awards that showcase achievement in service, education and progess in the business world
My local chapter involvement has allowed me to cultivate leadership skills and learn to effectively manage a group of diverse people through personal involvement in all projects. For more inforamation about Greenwood FBLA, please visit http://www.greenwood.k12.wi.us/middlehigh/fbla.cfm.
Wisconsin State Office Involvement
At the state level, I served as the 2013-2014 Region II Vice President of Wisconsin FBLA. Through my position, I have:
-
Given workshops to hundreds of my fellow members on topics such as community service, networking, and general leadership principles
-
Spoken in front of thousands of members at state and national conferences
-
Conceptualized, proposed and personally launched a state-wide social media initiative to unite members within each region to be used as a major medium of communication for the future
-
Planned, hosted and led the 2014 Region II Leadership Conference, a state conference for nearly 450 members
Through my state office position, I not only set a new foundation for the running of Region II, but also personally contributed to a new foundation for Wisconsin FBLA. I have gained many leadership and business skills beyond what I could have developed within a classroom setting that will allow me to exceed in the professional world.
